Artificial Intelligence (AI) use in sustainable energy and environmental management is transforming how we address global challenges related to energy efficiency, resource conservation, and environmental protection. Sustainable Energy and Environment" is a broad field encompassing various technologies, practices, and disciplines aimed at reducing the environmental impact of energy production and consumption while promoting the conservation of natural resources. The research in these fields includes
(i) Sustainable Energy
Renewable Energy Sources (Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Hydropower, Geothermal Energy, Biomass and Bioenergy), Energy Efficiency (Building Efficiency, Industrial Efficiency, and Transportation Efficiency), Energy Storage (Battery Storage, Thermal Storage, and Pumped Hydroelectric Storage), Smart Grids and Microgrids (Smart Grids, Microgrids), and
(ii) Environment
Environmental Conservation (Biodiversity Protection, Forest Management, Water Resources), Pollution Control (Air Quality Management, Water Pollution Control, Soil Pollution Remediation), Waste Management (Recycling and Circular Economy, Sustainable Waste Disposal), Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation (Carbon Sequestration, Climate-Resilient Infrastructure, Renewable Energy Transition) and Sustainable Agriculture (Agroecology, Water-Efficient Irrigation, Organic Farming)
In this sense, AI can play a transformative role in sustainable energy and environmental management by providing advanced tools and solutions that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource use. For instance, AI can analyze vast amounts of meteorological data to predict the output of wind turbines and solar panels more accurately, or it can optimize the operation of smart grids, balancing supply and demand in real time by adjusting energy flows based on predictive analytics.
Herein, we are eager to receive and publish original research papers, review papers, technical reports, and short communications that could be stimulating for civil, environmental and mechanical engineers, as well as energy-environment scientists that are not presented, submitted or published in any other national or international journals or conferences. AISEE is going to publish two volumes in a year. Publishing in AISEE gives you this opportunity:
  • The fast-publication period after the peer-review process
  • Accepted manuscripts will be available online as fast as possible before the preparation of hard-copy versions.
AI in Sustainable Energy and Environment (AISEE) is a blind peer-review journal. This international journal covers all related fields to earth sciences. The following items compromise the major scopes of AIES:
  • Optimizing Renewable Energy Integration (Wind and Solar Power Forecasting, Smart Grid Management)
  • Enhancing Energy Efficiency (Building Energy Management Systems, Demand Response)
  • Smart Cities and Urban Planning (Sustainable Urban Planning, Waste Management )
  • Environmental Monitoring and Conservation (Wildlife and Habitat Monitoring, Air and Water Quality Monitoring)
  • Predictive Maintenance (Energy Infrastructure, Utility Networks)
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction (Industrial Process Optimization, Carbon Capture and Storage)
  • Circular Economy and Resource Management (Material Recovery, Water Resource Management)
  • Disaster Response and Climate Change Mitigation (Climate Modeling, Disaster Response)
  • Sustainable Transportation (Electric Vehicle Optimization, Public Transportation Systems)
  • Data-Driven Policy and Decision Making (Environmental Policy, Corporate Sustainability)
In addition to original research studies, the AI in Sustainable Energy and Environment encourages researchers to submit their review article, which investigates avant-garde topics, determines emerging and post-emerging movements, and recommends future guidelines for developing subjects.
All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through a trustworthy software named iThenticate to be assured of originality and then rigorously peer-reviewed by international reviewers.
AIES respects all aspects of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) publication ethics. COPE is a forum for editors and publishers of peer-reviewed journals to discuss all aspects of publication ethics. COPE provides advice to editors and publishers on all aspects of publication ethics and, in particular, how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. COPE does not investigate individual cases but encourages editors to ensure that cases are investigated by the appropriate authorities (usually a research institution or employer).
